Bus changes in Sydney’s Inner West

From Sunday 8 December, we’ll be making changes to bus services in Sydney’s Inner West.

The changes support improved connections between buses, improved reliability and better meet passenger demand.

Timetable adjustments will affect most routes. Some bus routes will also change. Adjustments will also be made to dedicated school services across many areas.

Route Changes
320

Route 320 will be extended to operate to Lee St, Railway Square at Central.

389 Route 389 will be extended to operate to and from the Maritime Museum (Murray Street).
418

Services between Burwood and Sydenham will be improved to operate every 20 minutes during the day seven days a week, with peak hour services operating every 10 minutes and early morning and evening services every 30 minutes.

Services will also operate from around 5.00am to midnight seven days a week.

Some services on route 418 will also be extended to operate to and from Tempe on Mondays to Saturdays, replacing route 425 services which will no longer operate.

420 Additional services will operate during early morning and evening periods throughout the week.
423 Services will be improved to operate every 10 minutes or better during the day on weekdays, and every 15-20 minutes early morning and late evening.  There is no change to weekend service frequency.
425

Route 425 from Tempe to Dulwich Hill will be renamed the 418 and will go from Tempe to Burwood.

The Tempe to Sydenham section will get the same number of services it has now. Passengers will benefit with an extended route through the inner west.

430

Route 430 will operate between Sydenham and Central Station only. It will no longer operate between Central Station and Martin Place.

Service frequency on weekdays will be adjusted to every 20 minutes.  There is no change to weekend service frequency.

433

Route 433 will become a Frequent Network route with services running every 10 minutes or better during the day and 20 minutes or better early morning and late evening seven days a week.
Services will also operate overnight on Friday and Saturday nights.

442

Route 442 will become a Frequent Network route with services running every 10 minutes or better during the day and 20 minutes or better early morning and late evening seven days a week.
Services will also operate overnight on Friday and Saturday nights between Balmain Gladstone Park and City QVB.

502

Service frequency will be adjusted to every 60 minutes during weekday off peak, evenings and weekends.  During these times, services will only operate between Cabarita Wharf and Five Dock Shops.  Alternative services are available between Five Dock and Drummoyne on routes 490, 492 and 530.
 
Weekday peak hour services will continue to operate to and from the City.

503

Route 503 will no longer operate.

Route 504 will operate more frequent services.  Routes 500X, 502, 505, 506 and 507 also provide alternative services along Victoria Road.

504X

Route 504X will no longer operate.

Route 504 will operate more frequent services.

526

Route 526 will become a Frequent Network route with services running every 10 minutes or better during the day and 20 minutes or better early morning and late evening seven days a week.

Route 526 also be changed to operate between Rhodes and Strathfield station only. It will no longer operate between Strathfield and Burwood.  Alternative bus and train services are available.

On school days only two morning trips will continue to Burwood Station and Concord High school. Two afternoon return trips will also operate.
