L1 Dulwich Hill Line partial closure

From Monday 3 to Wednesday 12 April, L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services will not run between Central and Convention due to major trackwork and maintenance works, including for Eddy Avenue underbridge major refurbishment and the Harbourside Shopping Centre redevelopment in Darling Harbour.

From 6am Monday 3 to 11pm Wednesday 12 April:

  • L1 light rail services will run between Convention and Dulwich Hill as per normal frequency.
  • Replacement bus services will run partially between Central Grand Concourse and The Star via Convention.

Replacement bus services

Replacement bus services will run from 6am to 11pm daily, and until midnight on Fridays. Buses will run at different frequencies depending on the day and time:

  • From 6am to 8am: every 15 to 20 min,
  • From 8am to 7pm: every 10 to 15 min,
  • From 7pm to 11pm: every 15 to 20 min.

These times may vary depending on road traffic.

Please note:

  • Follow the yellow directional signs to the nearby replacement bus stop locations.
  • Replacement buses will not stop at Capitol Square (towards Central and Dulwich Hill or Convention/The Star), Exhibition Centre (towards Dulwich Hill or Convention/The Star) and Pyrmont Bay (towards Central and Dulwich Hill or Convention/The Star). See alternative stops and walking distances between stops.
  • If possible, walking is an alternative transport option for travel between Central Station, Darling Harbour, and Pyrmont due to increased road traffic.
  • Some local regular bus and train services will also be an alternative transport option between major stops.
  • Most replacement buses will be accessible; if not, wait for the next service.
  • You must tap on and tap off when boarding and alighting replacement buses. Opal readers are located onboard all replacement buses. A standard light rail fare applies.
  • L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford lines will continue to run as normal schedule.

Full L1 light rail services between Central Grand Concourse and Dulwich Hill will resume from 6am Thursday 13 April.
