L1 Dulwich Hill Line, L2 Randwick Line and L3 Kingsford Line weekdays and weekend partial closures

From Friday 7 to Monday 10 July, the L1 Dulwich Hill, L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford lines light rail services will run partially, due to major maintenance works and roads closures associated with the construction works in the CBD, including for Eddy Avenue underbridge refurbishment.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

From 6am Friday 7 to 11pm Monday 10 July:

  • L1 replacement bus services will run between Central Grand Concourse and The Star via Convention.
  • L1 light rail services will continue to run between Convention and Dulwich Hill as per normal frequency.

L1 replacement bus services will run daily from 6am to 11pm (midnight on Friday) as follows:

  • From 6am to 7am: every 15 to 20 min,
  • From 7am to 7pm: every 10 to 15 min,
  • From 7pm to 11pm: every 15 to 20 min.

These times may vary depending on road traffic.

Please note:

  • Follow the yellow directional signs to the nearby replacement bus stop locations.
  • Replacement buses will not stop at Capitol Square (towards Central and Dulwich Hill), Exhibition Centre (towards Dulwich Hill) and Pyrmont Bay (towards Central and Dulwich Hill). See alternative stops and walk distances between stops.
  • If possible, walk is an alternative transport option for travel between Central Station, Darling Harbour, and Pyrmont due to increased road traffic.
  • Check the accessibility level of each replacement bus stop below.
  • Most replacement buses will be accessible; if not, wait for the next service.
  • You must tap on and tap off when boarding and alighting replacement buses. Opal readers are located onboard all replacement buses. A standard light rail fare applies.

L1 light rail services between Central Grand Concourse and Dulwich Hill will resume as normal from 6am Tuesday 11 July.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford lines

From 5am Friday 7 to 1am Tuesday 11 July:

  • L2 and L3 light rail services will not run between Central Chalmers Street and Circular Quay. Use alternative transport including trains or walking.
  • L2 and L3 light rail services will continue to run between Central Chalmers Street and Randwick or Juniors Kingsford as per normal frequency.

L2 and L3 light rail services between Circular Quay and Randwick or Juniors Kingsford will resume as normal from 5am Tuesday 11 July.

Allow plenty of extra travel time particularly if connecting between light rail lines, and use the Trip Planner or check travel alerts to see if your travel is affected.
