Ticketholders are urged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.
Public transport is the best way to get to Sydney Football Stadium with frequent light rail and buses servicing the Moore Park area. Travel on transport is included in your ticket to the game so leave the car at home.
Trains and Metro services run regularly to the City where you can connect with frequent light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park light rail stop is located a short walk across from the stadium. Plenty of regular route buses also make stops along Anzac Parade and Oxford Street nearby.
Please note evening trackwork is taking place on the L1, L3 and L3 light rail lines which may affect your trip from. From 8pm to 1am, light rail services will not run between Central Grand Concourse and Dulwich Hill or between Central and Circular Quay. See the News story for more information.
Consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway to avoid the queues for transport services before and after the match. See the Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way.
If you have to drive, allow extra travel time as traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching the precinct as fans travel to the match in the busy evening peak. Carpool with your group as parking in the precinct may fill quickly.
Parking is available near Sydney Football Stadium at the Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park. Grass car parks on Driver Ave will not open for this match. You can find real-time traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
Match Ticket Entitlements
Valid pre-purchased tickets to Sydney FC games at Sydney Football Stadium include travel to and from Moore Park on the following transport services – just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding:
- Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
- Sydney Metro services
- Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses
- Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
- Sydney and Newcastle Ferries
Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your match ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.
Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.
Transport Park&Ride Car Parks
Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.
Tickets to Sydney FC season home games at Sydney Football Stadium include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.
If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night.
Change at Central to connect with light rail services towards Moore Park from Chalmers Street.

M1 Metro Line: From 9.50pm, metro services do not run between Central and Sydenham. Services run between Tallawong and Martin Place, and between Martin Place and Central only. Change at Martin Place for metro services towards Tallawong or Central, or T4 trains to Sydenham. For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern. From Central change for light rail replacement buses to get to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street. Alternatively, consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway. See the Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way.
From Bondi Junction, catch one of the many regular route buses from the Interchange to Oxford Street to get within walking distance of the stadium.
Trackwork
Planned trackwork is taking place on Wednesday 16 April on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- M1 Metro Line: From 9.50pm, metro services do not run between Central and Sydenham. Services run between Tallawong and Martin Place, and between Martin Place and Central only. Use metro services between Chatswood, Crows Nest or Victoria Cross and the City, or change at Wynyard for a City Circle train. City Circle trains run in one direction only, from Wynyard first stop Town Hall. Due to trackwork light rail services will not run between Circular Quay, Wynyard and Central.
- T1 Western Line: From 9.50pm to 1.30am, trains run between T1 Western Line stations and Central, platforms 1-12 only. From 10.50pm to 1.30am, some trains make extra stops at Homebush and Burwood.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: From 11pm to 1.30am, buses replace Inner West trains between Strathfield and Ashfield. Trains run between Leppington and the City but do not stop at Ashfield. Inner West trains run between Ashfield and the City only. Some T1 trains make extra stops at Homebush and Burwood. You may need to change trains to continue your journey.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: From 11pm to 1.30am, buses replace Inner West trains between Strathfield and Ashfield. Trains run between Liverpool and Lidcombe, and between Ashfield and the City. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. T2 trains run between Leppington and the City via Granville but do not stop at Ashfield. Some T1 trains make extra stops at Homebush and Burwood.
- T8 Airport & South Line: From 9.50pm to 1.30am, trains via the Airport start and end at Central due to City Circle trackwork. Trains between Sydenham and the City Circle run to a changed timetable.
- T9 Northern Line: From 9.50pm to 1.30am, trains run between Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12 only.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: From 8.30pm to 2am, buses replace trains from Newcastle Interchange to Wyong. From 8.50pm to 3.30am, buses replace trains from Wyong to Newcastle Interchange. Buses towards Wyong may leave up to 60 minutes earlier than the normal train timetable. Trains run between Wyong and Central, some to a changed timetable.
- Hunter Line: From 8am to 1pm, buses replace most trains between Newcastle Interchange and Telarah or Muswellbrook. The 8:29am Newcastle Interchange to Dungog will not run. Catch the 8:48am Newcastle Interchange to Telarah train and change at Maitland for a bus towards Dungog. Buses also replace the 10:02am Dungog to Newcastle Interchange service. From 10pm to 1.30am, some trains towards Telarah run up to 20 minutes later than the normal timetable, due to trackwork on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line.

A number of regular Sydney Buses service stops along Anzac Parade near the precinct, including routes 339, 373, 374 and 396. From Bondi Junction Interchange, catch routes 333, 352 or 440 to Oxford Street or catch route 355 buses to Lang Road to get within short walking distance of the stadium.

Catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of Sydney Football Stadium.
Additional light rail services will run before and after the game. Queues are expected, so be patient and allow plenty of extra time, particularly when leaving the stadium. Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with trains to Central from Parramatta Station. From Central, catch a L2 or L3 Line service to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of Sydney Football Stadium.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.
