Important Travel Advice

With large crowds expected each concert night, ticketholders are urged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to avoid getting caught in traffic delays. Concert nights are on Saturday 1, Sunday 2 and Monday 3 March. The precinct will be especially busy on Monday 3 March as Green Day performs at nearby ENGIE Stadium at the same time.

  • Public transport is the best way to get to Olympic Park. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner or free Opal Travel app.
  • Trains run regularly to Olympic Park from Lidcombe and the venue is a short walk from the station.
  • Extra express services will be running on Monday 3 March from Central along with extra services on the Western Line.
  • You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.

If you have no other option but to drive, you must have pre-booked parking:

  • Parking will be in high demand, it is essential that you pre-book parking online to guarantee a car space.
  • Carpool with your group and allow extra travel time. Traffic delays are expected on roads approaching the precinct and entering car parks as attendees travel to each concert in the busy evening peak.
  • If you have pre-booked parking, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry.
  • After the show, traffic will be very heavy as everyone leaves at the same time. Expect to allow up to an hour of additional travel time exiting car parks.
  • You can also consider parking at a nearby train station commuter car park and continuing your trip by train to Olympic Park.
  • Allow plenty of extra travel time on roads and plan your trip before leaving home. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.

If you're getting dropped off or catching rideshare, taxi ranks are located on Herb Elliott Avenue. Allow plenty of extra travel time on the roads.

Opal

You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

More ways to pay

If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.
