Important Travel Advice

Ticketholders are urged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.  

Public transport is the best way to get to Allianz Stadium with frequent light rail and buses servicing the Moore Park area.  

Travel on transport is included in your ticket to the game so leave the car at home as parking will be in high demand. 

Trains to the City run regularly where you can connect with frequent light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park light rail stop is located a short walk across from Allianz Stadium.  Plenty of regular route buses also make stops along Anzac Parade and Oxford Street nearby. 

Please note that planned weekend trackwork is taking place on the M1 Metro line between Chatswood, the City and Sydenham. Use trains instead. 

Consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway to avoid the queues for transport services before and after the match. See our Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way. 

If you have to drive, allow extra travel time as traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching the precinct as fans travel to and from the match. Carpool with your group as parking in the precinct may fill quickly. You can find real-time traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.  

Parking is available near Allianz Stadium at the Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park. A flat rate event parking fee will apply. 

Match Ticket Entitlements

Valid pre-purchased tickets to the A-League Unite Round games at Allianz Stadium include travel to and from Moore Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding: 

  • Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations) 
  • Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses 
  • Sydney Metro services 
  • Sydney and Newcastle Light Rail services 
  • Sydney and Newcastle Ferries 

Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your event ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.  

Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.

Transport Park&Ride Car Parks

Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.

Tickets to the A-League at Allianz Stadium include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.

If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. 

Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night. 

Please note that planned weekend trackwork is taking place on the M1 Metro line between Chatswood, the City and Sydenham on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November. 

Metro services will operate between Tallawong and Chatswood only. Change at Chatswood to connect with train services to Central then, light rail services towards Moore Park.

The closest stations to Allianz Stadium are Central and Bondi Junction.

From Central change for light rail to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street. Alternatively, consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway. See our Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way. 

From Bondi Junction, catch one of the many regular route buses from the Interchange to Oxford Street to get within walking distance of the stadium. 

Trackwork

Planned weekend trackwork is taking place on Sunday 24 November on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner:  

  • M1 Metro Line: Metro services run between Tallawong and Chatswood only. Use train services between Chatswood, the City and Sydenham. 
  • T1 Western Line: Richmond trains run between Richmond and Parramatta only. Change trains at Parramatta to continue your journey towards the City. Penrith trains run to a changed timetable and make an extra stop at Harris Park. 
  • T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Macarthur, Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via the Airport, and between Fairfield and the City via Granville. Buses also replace T3 trains between Cabramatta and Lidcombe via Regents Park.  Until 1pm Sunday buses also replace trains between Leppington and East Hills. Trains run between East Hills and the City, to a changed timetable. 
  • T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Liverpool, Cabramatta and Lidcombe via Regents Park. Trains run between Lidcombe and the City, some to a changed timetable. Inner West trains run between Homebush and the City. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. Buses also replace trains between Macarthur, Liverpool and Fairfield. 
  • T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Fairfield and the City via Granville, between Richmond and Parramatta, and between Penrith and Granville. Trains also run between Leppington and the City via the Airport. You may need to change services to continue your journey.  Until 1pm Sunday buses also replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield. 
  • T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Buses replace trains between Bankstown and Lidcombe. Buses also replace T3 trains between Liverpool and Lidcombe. 
  • T8 Airport & South Line: Buses replace trains between Macarthur, Glenfield and Fairfield. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington or Revesby and the City via the Airport. Until 1pm Sunday, buses also replace trains between Leppington and East Hills. Trains run between East Hills and the City via the Airport, to a changed timetable.
  • Central Coast & Newcastle Line: From 6am to 11am, at Cowan, all trains leave from platform 1. 
  • South Coast Line: From 7.30am to 11.30am, at Towradgi, Fairy Meadow and North Wollongong, all trains leave from platform 1. From 12pm to 4pm, at North Wollongong, Fairy Meadow and Towradgi, all trains leave from platform 2. 
  • Southern Highlands Line: Buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Glenfield. You may need to change buses to continue your journey. T8 Airport & South Line trains run to a changed timetable between Glenfield and the City. Until 1pm Sunday buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and East Hills. T8 Airport & South Line trains run to a changed timetable between East Hills and the City.

A number of regular Sydney Buses service stops along Anzac Parade near the precinct, including routes 339 and 374. From Bondi Junction Interchange, catch routes 333, 352 or 440 to Oxford Street or catch route 355 buses to Lang Road within short walking distance of the stadium.

Catch one of the many ferry services to Circular Quay and change for trains to Central to connect with L2 and L3 light rail  services to Moore Park.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line 

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner

From Central, change for a light rail service on the L2 or L3 Line to Moore Park leaving from Chalmers Street.   

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines 

L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using the Trip Planner

Catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park stop is located along Anzac Parade just south of the Sydney Cricket Ground.

If you have to drive, carpool with your group and allow extra travel time as traffic may be heavier than usual as fans travel to and from the match. Fans are encouraged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to avoid traffic delays. 

Driver Avenue will not be partially closed for this game, and through-traffic will be available on Driver Avenue

Moore Park Car Parks

Parking is available at the following car parks nearby. Carpool with your group and aim to arrive early to secure a parking space. 

  • Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park: Car park open 24 hours. Flat rate event parking fees apply. Entry via Errol Flynn Boulevard from Lang Road. 

Please note, EP2 and EP3 grass car parks will not open for this match.
